Carolyn Whiskin, RPh, BScPhm, NCMP

Carolyn Whiskin

Carolyn is the Pharmacy Manager for Charlton Health.  She brings vast experience to this role as a pharmacist  specializing in the treatment of autoimmune diseases, having started her career at St Joseph’s Hospital in Hamilton as a rheumatology pharmacist thirty years ago.  Since that time Carolyn has been an instructor at the University of Toronto, University of Waterloo and McMaster University. She writes, presents and evaluates continuing education programs for many health professionals and speaks at both national conferences and local educational programs for the public.  Carolyn has served on the Models of Care committee for the Ontario Rheumatology Association.  She also has expertise in pharmaceutical compounding, women’s health, pain and smoking cessation.  She is a certified menopause practitioner with the North American Menopause Society.  Carolyn has won provincial and national awards for her commitment to patient care and public service.

 

Ajisa Kawalecki 

Ajisa Kawalecki oversees the Operations for Charlton Health and the Charlton Centre.  She brings a far reaching understanding of the Specialty Drug space from her 16 plus years in the pharmaceutical industry in various roles.  She has a unique knowledge of the Specialty Biologic field in Canada and has worked with multiple vendors in delivering access to biologic drugs.  Ajisa was instrumental in creating the very first infusion infrastructure to Biologics in Canada.  Ajisa oversees the service delivery at Charlton Health and Charlton Centre to ensure the organization is running as well as it possibly can while meeting the expectations and needs of our customers and patients.

Jennifer Heipel RPN
Jen HeipelJennifer has approximately 12 years of experience working as a hepatology nurse/ clinical research coordinator for several gastroenterologists, hepatologists, infectious diseases and addiction specialists. She is trained in the treatment of Hepatitis B and C therapies as well as general hepatology and pre/ post liver transplant follow up.

Previously she was primarily based at McMaster University in the care of all liver disease patients, including pre- and post-liver transplant patients and phase 2-4 clinical research studies.  She works in the community at both Brampton Civic Hospital at the Osler Hepatitis Centre as well as the Brantford clinic treating Hepatitis B and C.

She will now be working full time with Chalrton Health as a Hepatology Nurse and Managing the Hepatology Program.  She will continue to work along side Dr. Marco Puglia from McMaster University, as well as other Gastroenterologists in the area to develop a comprehensive Hepatology program and Hepatitis C program here at Charlton Health.  Our Hepatitis C program will now be offered in house which will allow for faster service and shorter wait times.

DriverOur team of wonderful drivers and delivery coordinators arrange for your medication to be brought directly to your door; whether it be home office or cottage.  We are there to service you.  We deliver throughout Ontario. Prior to each delivery a confirmation call is made to ensure you are well and to confirm the delivery time.  We call you before each anticipated delivery; you never have to remember to call and order your medication.
